Residents of Harriet have easy access to Gene Kelly Playfields, which is situated just east of the neighborhood. The nearest school to the Harriet neighborhood is Kennedy High School. Kennedy High School serves 1,500 students and has a student/teacher ratio of 18.5. The school has an excellent teaching staff, with 72% of its teachers maintaining Master’s Degrees. Other schools in the area include Indian Mounds Elementary and Oak Grove Middle School.
